The Bellefontaine 8 Cinema has again been forced to delay its plans for reopening the local movie theater.
“With heavy hearts, we are saddened to announce another delay in our reopening plans,” according to a post on the cinema’s Facebook page. “With COVID-19 cases spiking and a lack of available titles to show, we feel it is in the best interest of the safety of our employees and our community to remain closed for the time being.”
June 29, Bellefontaine 8 Cinema announced it had planned to reopen July 31. That July 31 date had represented a delay from a previous plan to reopen July 15.
Each time it has released plans to reopen, the announcement hinged on available titles to feature at the theater.
The theater closed since March 16 as part of the larger coronavirus shutdown. It has not been opened since. “We look forward to being able to provide you with quality entertainment once more,” the theater concluded.
